چکیده
Amphiphilic cadmium selenide (CdSe) nanoparticles were prepared by surface functionalization with novel ligands 1 and 2, composed of pyridine moieties substituted in the 4-position with polyethylene glycol (PEG) chains.

Preparation of cadmium selenide-polyolefin composites from functional phosphine oxides and ruthenium-based metathesis.
Cadmium selenide nanoparticles, prepared by known methods, were stabilized with functional phosphine oxide 1, then used to support the polymerization of cyclic olefins radially outward from the surface by ruthenium-catalyzed ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP). The conversion of compound 1 into the new metathesis catalyst 3 by carbene exchange and the subsequent polymerization of cycl...
متن کاملSynthesis, characterization and sonophotocatalytic degradation of an azo dye on Europium doped cadmium selenide nanoparticles
In this study, Eu-doped CdSe nanoparticles with variable Eu3+ content were synthesized by a simple sonochemical method. Eu3+ substitution into the structure of CdSe resulted in a material with new physical properties, composition and morphology. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscop...
متن کاملTetrabutylammonium bromide-Cesium carbonate: new reagent system for the synthesis of substituted pyridines at room temperature
The highly substituted pyridine derivatives are found to exhibit diverse pharmacological activities. They are also emerged as potential medicinal leads in developing therapeutic agents for the treatment of various diseases. In this work, a series of 2-amino-3,5-dicarbonitrile-6-thio-pyridine derivatives have been synthesized at room temperature via one-pot, multi-component reaction of various a...
متن کاملDraft Genome Sequence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa Strain RB, a Bacterium Capable of Synthesizing Cadmium Selenide Nanoparticles
Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain RB is a bacterium capable of synthesizing cadmium selenide (CdSe) nanoparticles and was isolated from a soil sample. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of P. aeruginosa strain RB. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of a draft genome of a CdSe-synthesizing bacterium.
